Philosophy

Margaret believes that yoga philosophy has something for everyone. She believes in discovering a balance between working hard and finding ease in one’s yoga practice, and ultimately, in life. By cultivating this balance of effort and ease, we are able to rest in our own true nature. Margaret believes that attention to alignment is important to practice safely, and ultimately find stillness in the pose. Practicing mindfully allows one to receive the full benefits of yoga physically, mentally and spiritually. Margaret leads her students into a deeper understanding of a pose, allowing them to discover a greater awareness of themselves. She encourages one’s yoga practice to be an exploration of what is real, of who we really are.
“Breath is central to Yoga because it is central to Life… and Yoga is about Life.”
- T. Krishnamacharya
